Online Self Employed Business Opportunities

By: Kate Williams

Being self-employed does not always mean starting from scratch. There are self-employed businesses opportunities that can get someone started as an entrepreneur with little or no risk. These opportunities give a person the ability to make a viable business where they set their own hours, and have the flexibility to spend time with family or recreating. However, often there is some expense with the opportunities in the form of a start up cost. This covers the cost of materials, web sites, and training. If it is not something that can be afforded, a loan can be taken out for the necessary funds. Many times lenders are more than willing to lend to a small business and there are specific loans designed just for this purpose.

One of the great things using an existing business opportunity that does not require starting from the ground up is that there usually exists tested market. There is also customer service and people who can assist those just starting out and have never been self employed. Take a look at the online business opportunities available and see if there is anything that is workable. Many of them can be done part time to start as supplement income giving a sense of financial security at the same time a new venture is being made. Starting part-time while continuing regular employment also gives a little more capital to work with and reduces stress. Keep in mind that self-employed business taxes would be paid by you the business owner and not the opportunity presenter.

If a business opportunity that doesn't involve significant risk, has an already established market and is all about being self employed without having to start from scratch is appealing than there are a number of opportunities available to suit individual tastes and needs in the business world.

The first step in making something like this work is to change one's thought process. Many people see themselves as employees meaning they work for other people. However, this is not all bad because there is not limit to your income, no boss to make demands on you and no preset job duties or hours. If the thought of being free from the corporate shackles is appealing - start by doing a Google for online businesses and join a few news letters and forums. Get the pros and cons then start small and see where you end up. Who knows, you could be the next Internet millionaire success story.

Have you ever wondered why so many people are in the Internet marketing business although it is well-known fact that many people fail? At the same time, many people are very skeptical about making money using the Internet and don't even try....I would suggest that the skeptical ones just heard about the bad experiences of others or simply are not aware of the potential of that kind of business and how advantageous it is running such a business. Conversely, the second group of people realizes the great potential that Internet marketing has to offer, and how beneficial it truly is, hence the reason why so many are excited about the further development of Internet marketing in recent years...So, really, what's so great about an Internet business anyway? Here is the reality in which I live: 1. I get to work from home and set my own working hours. There is no boss bugging me, so I am able to do the things I like to do, while working at my own pace. 2. A person with a fixed salary has a limited income, while having an Internet business means you have endless potential of income. 3. I'm about to travel for a few months and guess what? My business is following me. i don't have to worry I'm losing my income. 4. This business is working 24/7. When i sleep, eat or going out with friends, the business remains "open". It also remains operating while I'm on vacation. This is truly the maximum utilization of my time. 5. Most of the businesses you start using the Internet can operate for many months or even years after you finished actively working on them. it's like a long term investment that keeps paying you cash every month.Don't get me wrong, it's still hard work and there are no shortcuts, but when things start moving and you see progress everyday it's very satisfying and you know you are headed in the right direction. give it a try! 3 Easy Ways To Make Money Online. Writing For Income.

By: Max Polonchak

Among many ways to earn income online there are 3 very easy ways to make extra cash by expressing your opinion as long as you are up to writing. I am convinced that with some basic skills anyone can write, if they put their mind into it. What makes it very easy to create income online is that today internet “speaks” a conversational language. So, basically anyone is a writer! With that in mind, here are 3 easy ways to cash in on the skill you may have just learned you have:

1 Get paid to post your opinion online. As you guessed you don’t need to be a professional writer to post on the forums to get paid. Nowadays, there are many forums on myriads of subjects and it is difficult to get a new forum up and running. Many forum owners are willing to pay for posts to create content on their forums and to increase traffic. Ironically, many times new forum owners look for their members at other well established forums.

Another option is to find already established forums with potentially better rewards such as Mylot. These have very live communities and pay their users to post among other things. Places like Mylot provide their members an opportunity to earn using the web on a daily basis, as well as access to information.

3 Ghostwriting. You can easily write for people who own their websites and have a need for unique content, but don’t have the time. Here, you don’t have to have any degrees earned as well, as long as you are able to compose material with 400-500 words on any subject. You can offer to provide your writing services at many webmaster discussion forums, if you have something to say about any subject.

2 Write articles for Ezines. This is very much like writing an article for a magazine. Minimum is about 500 words. This is a little more serious, but you can make more money as well. You might not get paid a lot in the beginning, but it is a good way to express yourself and make an extra buck, if you are serious and knowledgeable about a particular subject. Ezine publishers who willing to pay for original content post their requests for articles on many writing sites. Such invitations can be found on the forums of sites like Writersweekly

9 Keys to an Effective Website

By: Erin Ferree

Many small companies choose not to invest in a professionally designed website, although a well-designed Web site may raise the company's level of professionalism and exposure – AND drive business and sales!

Make sure your website is working for you with the following characteristics: • Usability enables your users to get the most out of your site. This means that the site's navigation is consistent, clear and easy to follow; forms and links are in working order; and the information on the site is current and answers incoming clients' potential questions.

• Findable: If people can't find you, then they won't buy from you. Make sure your pages have text coded in HTML instead of embedded in the graphics, so that search engines can read it. Put ALT tags on the images you do have – search engines look at these, and they can improve your rankings. Include META tags in your code and submit them to at least the major search engines. You can do this for free – ask me how! Finally, find some online directories where your site would be a fit and add your site to those directories. This is one more way potential clients can find your site; having directories and other sites linked to yours can also increase your ranking in the search engines.

• Legible fonts, sized for easy reading on different platforms and browsers. Also, make sure your font is either significantly lighter or darker than your background color or pattern, so that your site is readable for colorblind people, too. If you're using a background pattern, make sure that it doesn't interfere with the text.

• Cleanly designed, with graphics that enhance the website's message, instead of detracting from it. This applies to animations as well, which should be designed with a purpose.

• Reinforces and repeats elements of your brand image, building upon the design of your corporate logo and other materials and repeating your company's message. Consistency of your company's brand is important across all media.

• High-quality graphics that are optimized and saved in the correct format for their content – JPEG format should be used for gradients or photos, and GIF format should be used for images with areas of solid color.

• Fast loading: Optimizing your graphics and writing clean code will ensure that your users only wait a minimal amount of time for the page to come up. If people don't see your site quickly, they're more likely to click away from it or not return in the future.

• Cross-platform compatible: Make sure that your site looks the same on PC and Macintosh systems, and on Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla and all the other browsers – that way, you're not missing any of your audience! You'll also want to make sure that the site looks equally as good in older versions of the browsers – not everyone updates their browser software when new versions come out.

• Clean code will load fast! Well-written code is also less likely to load incorrectly in different browsers. Clean code will also enable other web designers to pick up the maintenance of your site easily if you decide to transfer those responsibilities to a new designer.

A well-designed website works as a qualifying agent and also provides information 24/7 about your business to all your potential clients. It is a vital resource and marketing tool for doing business in today's global marketplace.

Making Money on the Internet - It's NOT all Hype

By: Steven Walters

There has never been a better time than now to start making money through the internet. The opportunities are vast and you can take advantage of many of them easily. No matter if you are a student, a stay at home mom or an entrepreneurial spirit looking for a second income there are ways for you to make some money in your free time.

I'm sure you've seen all the ads claiming you can make money doing data entry from home. The claims are that you can make hundreds of dollars a day doing simple typing and data entry from home. I've seen claims of up to $1200 a day! When you think about it you just know that no one is going to pay you that kind of money just to type for them? If you look deeper you'll see that most of these websites want you to pay for an ebook that explains how to use Google AdWords to place ads and make money selling affiliate products. They are trying to take advantage of you!

Don't let them take advantage of you this way. There are legitimate ways to earn money from the web without paying anyone or even giving up your email address. If you have a little time to invest you can create a nice little stream of income right from the comfort of your own home.

There are plenty of companies out there willing to pay you for getting involved with them. You can get paid for all of the following activities:

• Get paid to accept offers
• Get paid to read emails
• Get paid to take surveys
• Get paid to play games
• Get paid to shop

I know that these strategies work because I've been using them myself to make a nice little additional monthly income for the past year. Many online businesses want you to visit their sites and use their services. They are often rewarded for their traffic by advertisers and they pass along part of that money to you.

Of course some of these ideas work better than others.

If you want to get paid well to read emails or play games you should have a large list of contacts you can recruit to do the same as the majority of your money will be made through referring others.

You'll find that the same is true for getting paid to accept offers. Often you are required to get others to also sign up and accept the same offer before you can get your incentive so it helps to have a large contact list to recruit.

If you like to shop and live in the right area then a mystery shopping company may be the right online job for you. I live in a medium sized city and the volume of offers is sufficient to make some good money. Of course you have to enjoy shopping and you have to have transportation to get to the shopping sites.

Personally I have had the most success and the most fun by taking online surveys. The best strategy is to sign up for as many of these companies as possible so you receive the most and the best offers.

Basically, companies need to know what their customers think of their products and services in order to improve them. These companies have known for a long time that the best way to get information is through consumer surveys, however in the past they were very expensive to conduct.

The internet has made it much easier and cost effective for companies to conduct consumer research through surveys and focus groups. This has led to the creation of online companies whose sole purpose is to create the surveys for other companies and distribute them. The online survey company gets paid for collecting information and they share part of this payment with you for providing the information. A true win-win situation since you are both making money.

So, don't waste your time with data entry or similar work at home schemes. While you are trying to beat out the professional AdWords marketers you could be making a good income today by voicing your opinion. Many of the survey companies offer cash bonuses just to sign up.

7 Simple Steps in Choosing Products for the Internet

By: Rayanne Mcgee
\
You have decided to set up an internet store to earn money online. You know all the reasons why an internet store can be successful. But how do you choose the right product or service?

These 7 simple steps will help you search out the product or service that is right for you to sell.

1. Think Think about all the things that you like to do. Think about the things that you need to do. Think about the things that interest you. Think about the things that you believe in. Apply this same process to the people around you. Be aware. Do these ‘things’ require special products? Do they require a service?

2. Keep Eyes and Ears Open for Ideas Talk to your friends, family, colleagues and associates. Notice their likes, dislikes. Notice changes they have made – exchange ideas – brainstorm – where do they buy – what do they buy – what works for them – what doesn’t work.

3. Be Passionate Whatever product or service you choose – be passionate about it. Believe in it. Get excited about it? Use it. Know about it? Be enthusiastic? Enthusiasm is infectious– it shows in your writing, it shows in your speaking and it gets people excited about your product – it compels them to want it too.

4. Refine and Research your Product Idea Once you have ideas – refine them. Narrow your idea to as much of a niche market as you can. Do your research. Check out the competition on the internet. While there is a lot of competition on the Internet, remember the market is huge. Be as specific about your product as possible. Your research should also show market readiness for your product.

5. Market Readiness Is the market ready for your product? Are you ahead of the curve? Is the market saturated with like products? Does the market need to be educated on your product offering? A product that is emerging in popularity and gaining customer acceptance and usage is ideal.

6. Approach Supplier You have now decided upon a product based upon the above 5 criteria and now you must select a supplier. Do your homework. Choose a reputable company that will supply quality products in a reliable and timely fashion. If you are building the product yourself, then you will be that company!

7. Build your site Use your researched product knowledge, display your passion about the product, and provide your customers with value for their money. Be focused, disciplined and motivated and you will receive the benefits that on-line marketing provides.

Our Story

In the spring of 2006, three of us formed a partnership to build a business in internet sales and marketing. This is a new type of business for us and we started at the very beginning.

We knew we wanted to use the internet to sell quality products and services but what would we sell? A product? A service?

We started thinking (Step 1) and talking amongst ourselves. We brainstormed ideas. We discussed our likes and dislikes. We talked about things that we had in common; beliefs; areas of interests; and the ideas started to flow. Everything was open to discussion. An area of mutual interest was health and wellness. But no specific product came to the forefront.

We became keenly aware of our surroundings. (Step 2) We noticed buying patterns. It was during this phase that I had an appointment with my Homeopathic Veterinarian for my golden retriever. It had been about 7 months since I had seen him. The first thing out of my mouth was “wow – what are you doing – you look different!” With that he gave me a brochure on the health benefits of Far Infrared Saunas. I knew nothing about this technology, but I can tell you that he looked vibrant and healthy and I wanted to know more. I kept eyes and ears open and by asking a question, I got some very valuable information.

With great passion and enthusiasm (Step 3) I presented this idea to my partners. They embraced it and we embarked on learning (Step 4) all we could about Far Infrared Saunas. We researched the market, identified the competition and determined our market niche.

We questioned the market readiness for this technology. (Step 5) It has been in use in Asia and Europe for decades but we were unsure about North America. The more we talked about it and researched it the more we were excited about the fact that our timing was excellent.

Finding the right supplier was extremely important to us. (Step 6) We set the bar high and searched out the number one world wide supplier of Far Infrared Saunas.

We built our site (Step 7). We continue to enhance our site. We offer excellent value to our customers and we are extremely passionate about the health and wellness benefits that Far Infrared Technology offers.

These 7 simple steps work for us and we continue to use them as we move forward in our business.

There are many webmasters that find writing articles for their site to be a very tedious task. Many people who need to write articles also procrastinate as much as they can to delay the amount of writing they need to do. Many people dread writing articles because they find researching for the topic and writing down original materials will be too taxing on them.

If you are thinking of finishing this article in a hurry after reading this much about making money online here, it means that our goal has been fulfilled.

You need to have your creative juices flowing and simply downloading an article would be plagiarism or tantamount to stealing, not exactly. Have you ever heard about public domain? These are articles written down by many authors that have declared their works to be public domain, which means anybody can use it for whatever purpose they want.

Writing on this making money online was not a difficult task but what was difficult to do was to develop an article which would be unique from others. Now that you are reading this article, you should decide for yourself if I did that or not.

While most authors would prefer to copyright their work for their rights, there are also a number who doesn't mind sharing their work. Public domain articles are not owned by anybody and can be used and abused by anyone. The writers have waived their rights to their works and it is out there for the public to make use of.

Fresh information and fresh insight are something which are very rarely found on the net and that is what we have tried to offer to my readers. Now when you are reading this article, you can verify the truth of my claims.

You can use public domain articles in helping you write your articles. With the public domain articles you can simply edit them to your own style and rewrite them as you please to make it suitable for your needs. All the ideas are there already and its just a matter of finding the write article with the topic or subject you need.

No one judge for you and you should also not let others judge for you. You are reading this article about making money online and now it is for you to judge if it is worth it or not.

This is probably the easiest way to write articles. You don't need to scour around the library or the internet for hours for information and start an article from scratch. For webmasters who are looking for articles to fill their site and to generate a high ranking for their website in search engine results, they can just modify the article by infusing keywords and keyword phrases related to their site.

Like others we could also have taken the short cut to writing this article but we desisted from it because the primary objective of writing this article about making money online was your satisfation. And after reading this article, you can yourself feel it.

A webmaster or website operator do not risk any chance of getting sued for copyright infringement because they are public domain, once again meaning that anybody can use it. Writing articles by using public domain wont require as much work as writing one from scratch would. You save a lot of time also.

An article is incomplete without its readers and that is why it is essential that readers are satisfied with articles. We have tried hard to achieve this very purpose. And now it is for you all to judge.

One good factor in using public domain articles for your site or for any project is that you save a lot of money. You dismiss the need to hire experienced and seasoned writers that some website operators use to write their articles. While a single five hundred worded article would only set you down 10 to 15 dollars, this cost will drastically increase when you need hundreds of articles to fill the needs of your site.

Life is about choices and what you get in your life depends on your choices. So, you made the choice of reading this article on making money online and the result is that you got the chance to gain so much information about making money online.

For those who needs articles to generate newsletters or an e-zine, public domain articles will be very beneficial. You do not need to count on your contributors or pay writers to write down articles for your newsletter or e-zine. You can fill all the pages without any cost or the worry of being sued and sought after by the writers. You can simply copy the articles and place them on your newsletter and e-zine.

Public domain articles are a virtual untapped resource that many people fail to realize the true value. The power of articles, keywords and keyword phrases have been deemed invaluable these past few years for many internet based businesses and sites that want to rank high in search engine results.

The number of article and content writers have grown significantly due to the rise in the demand for articles. As newer and newer topics and subjects have arisen, there are many demands for new articles to be written. An industry has been formed and this is a worldwide demand.

Public domain articles have given a great alternative for those who are cash strapped as well as do not have the time nor the skills to do their articles for themselves.

Searching for public domain articles is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3. You can search for them in search engines and do searches in many directories for the topic or subject that you need. Read them and simpy copy paste them to a word processing program and simply edit them to suit your needs.

This was all that we had to talk about making money online and we hope that you found the whole article beneficial.

The Trouble With Click Fraud?

By: Terry Detty
\
Click fraud involves the process of intentionally clicking ads listed on your website for the purpose of earning money rather than intending to view the products of the advertiser. Adsense involves placing ads on your website for other businesses. The way your website makes money is determined by the number of clicks to the advertiser’s link. Most websites who participate in Adsense are honest. However, the issue of click fraud is happening more often on the internet as the owner’s of some websites have found it an enticing method of generating more money from the advertisers.

With the onset of click fraud, software has been designed to analyze data based on the traffic to a website. This information is used to determine the possibility of click fraud. If you advertise this way you should invest in click fraud software or you may pay more for advertising than you should be. This software costs from $99 to $299, so it is very cost effective. It is believed as much as 20% of the cost advertisers are paying out each month is due to click fraud. With 3.2 million dollars generated each year for this type of advertising, 20% is a very high dollar amount to be losing!

A common method of click fraud involves an online robot that clicks away at the advertisements listed on a particular website. This is the quickest method. Others either do it themselves, clicking away at the ads on their own website or they hirer others to perform the task for them at a price much less than what they receive in return from the advertisers. Sometimes click fraud is done not to make money but to sabotage competitors. This is done by finding websites that advertise for them and continually click the ads. This will then cost that competitor a great deal of money they have to pay out for advertising without any hopes of generating additional sales from that cost.

Those who participate in the act of click fraud should be very careful. There are strict guidelines in place by Google to protect the reputation of their Adsense operations. Anyone caught participating in click fraud will be banned from further advertisements on their website. Google has invested 2.7 million for their Fraud Squad. They feel this investment is worthwhile though as click fraud is a serious issue. It has the potential of destroying the entire advertising industry online as we know it. There are legal issues involved as well. A California man was charged with obtaining more than $150,000 due to click fraud in 2004. He has been indited by a Grand Jury. However, there are no state or federal laws yet against click fraud. This particular man was only indited in his scam because he came clean about it with Google in a blackmail scheme. He was going to sell his secret of how he did it to Google for another $150,000. If they didn’t give it to him he threatened to keep on doing it. If we can get state and federal laws to see click fraud as a classification of fraud with the possibility of a felony charge and jail time it may deter the amount of click fraud that takes place.

Click fraud is a huge issue that plagues the success of Adsense. If you participate in Adsense then be warned on both sides of the field. As a provider of such advertising don’t be tempted to click on the ads yourself or with an automated system. The risk of getting caught is very high as are the financial and legal repercussions. As an advertiser pay close attention to high changes in advertising costs through Adsense. Take the time to question these increases. Is it click fraud or great increases in traffic? Have sales increased? It is a great idea to invest in click fraud software as well to protect your business as well as your advertising budget.

Advantages and disadvantages of eCommerce

By: Isha Sharma

Think of eCommerce and the first few features that strike any mind are – a global marketplace – increased sales – increased profits! Not that you start claiming better margin of profit online, but because various expenses relating to marketing, promotional material, order processing, customer care, inventory management, information storage, telecommunications et al, considerably slash down.

eCommerce offers tempting but economical boost to any size or kind of business. By opting for eCommerce, you can expand your market margins to global horizons or squeeze them to highly focused market segments, as per subjective business acumen and discretion. Even a small-scale business offering quality and reliability with confidence can easily find itself brushing shoulders with its esteemed competitors in least gestation period. It facilitates wishful manifestation of your business entity – as grand and sophisticated as you wish it to be. Budget would not really restrain you here from showcasing your attitude and essence through your website and online shopping cart.

Things considerably simplify with eCommerce – be it changing prices listed on your web page or customization of products; applying innovative business models or business process re-engineering; implementing higher degree of specialization or enhancing productivity and customer care – everything hardly takes time to implement/ incorporate and exhibit.

Not to mention, quality eCommerce services collect and manage valuable customer-related information, including customer’s ordering patterns, to build a comprehensive customer database. This database vitally sharpens your marketing and promotion strategies to be remarkably on target.

As regards your business partners, eCommerce aids you in minimizing supply chain inefficiencies, bringing about reduced inventory requirement and lessened delivery delays, thereby rendering you more confident about your business collaborations with your suppliers and service companies. eCommerce inherently streamlines and automates the entire backend business process, assimilating speed and efficiency to your business activities.

As you introduce eCommerce facility to your customers, you render their shopping experience highly fluent and convenient. eCommerce seems all the more indispensable for your customers in the wake of consistently shrinking time with them to spare for shopping offline. What’s more, online shopping lets your customers reap benefits of online economies, as they often pay lesser price for identical products/ services available offline.

eCommmerce-based business benefits the society as well! As your onsite manpower requirement reduces, it lessens the burden on infrastructure and lowers demand for elaborate office complexes and spacious parking lots.

As good as it may sound, eCommerce has its own share of obstacles too that hold it back from assuming it’s full potential. To begin with, Internet in itself is still to touch the lives of a large chunk of people as an integral way of life. There are tangible privacy and security issues that keep people on guard, as they face a dilemma each time they need to divulge highly personal information online, as and when they transact online.

Non-standardized protocols for certain processes, insufficient telecommunications bandwidth and ever-evolving software tools (with incrementing versions), are some of the technical issues that contain eCommerce from being a seamlessly integrated component of the contemporary organizational IT systems.

While technical limitations are completely resolvable, non-technical issues including people’s resistance to change and lack of trust for faceless and paperless transactions, is bound to take its due time before it completely erodes. In fact, eCommerce is fast catching up with the rest of the world, as USA online markets lead them by example.

Internet & Online Business Opportunities to Be the Boss

By: Naz Daud

Many business opportunities now exist on the web for people without computer experience. The usage of the internet is growing rapidly and therefore people who choose to enter this niche and are successful can make huge profits in a short time.

You can buy an online store that is fully stocked and ready for you to start selling within thirty minutes of signing up. The way this business model works is that the parent company has already negotiated prices and direct delivery to your customers. Your sole purpose is to find customers. This concept can work well if you can manage to get targeted traffic to your site.

You get the option to choose what types of products you want in your online store ranging from lingerie, ink cartridges, ties, mobile phones & beauty products. The problem with buying into this type of concept is that you are competing with so many other people who have the same identical store.

Adult turnkey sites are spending huge sums of money to get new operators to market their products. The problem with these types of businesses is that there are a huge number of adult sites already on the net. Prices are also dropping fast and you can now get full access to videos on demand for less than ten dollars a month.

Online local directories are proving very popular. The way this concept works is that the owner of the site maintains the site and adds local content. Their job is then to persuade businesses to advertise on the community website.

This kind of business can be lucrative for people with sales experience. It is heavily geared towards selling and is definitely not for shy reserved people. If you decide to go down this route make sure that the operator is skilled at getting the site to appear on the search engines radar.

A huge growth area recently is providing internet solutions to small and medium businesses. Businesses now realise that they must have an internet presence if they are to maintain or grow their market share.

Your job is to visit businesses and sell them your services and help them to create an internet presence. You do not actually make their websites. This is handled by low cost centres that are dedicated towards providing websites based on your recommendations.

Most people who enter the online business market end up failing because they do not understand how the internet works. It takes a huge amount of effort and money to generate traffic to the website. It takes even more skills to bring targeted traffic.

Customers are now very net savvy and open to spending money online. They are also very good at finding the best deals. The market is very competitive and internet surfers are not only demanding the best prices but also great service.

There are dedicated price comparison sites that focus on checking prices and reliability of internet suppliers. If an online business succeeds in getting listed with good customer reviews then half the battle in making money on the web has been won.

Are You Still Struggling With Google Adwords

By: Neo Anderson

Are you still struggling with google adwords?

I’ve been using Google Adwords off and on for several years and have been frustrated with the results each time I set up a new campaign. Part of the problem can be the way the administration screen is laid out, it really is a steep learning curve to get organized and figure out what all the options will do.

I suppose a case could be made to read the on site help center but that only serves to confuse the user even more. The whole process can throw the beginner into information overload.

So what does a beginner need to do to get a successful campaign started with Google Adwords? Start by reading every free ebook you can get your hands on regarding adwords. Join the adwords forums , find a good blog or website that focuses on the subject. When you think you’ve studied the subject inside and out, ask your self a few basic questions.

What is google adwords? What can it do for me? Where do I find adwords advertisements? How much will it cost to sign up?

When you can answer these questions your ready to move on to the next step, think your ready? Go ahead and sign up for a free Google Adwords account. Select the “Starter Edition” since it has fewer options to consider and you can always convert over to the “standard edition” later when you feel more comfortable with the layout.

Look around, maybe even set up a few fake advertisements to promote your blog or an affiliate program you would like to sell. What ever you do, DON’T activate your campaign until you have read “Adwords Miracle”.

Adwords Miracle will give you the information needed to turn a money loosing campaign into marketing gold. The price may be a little steep ($97 as of June 2007) but given the value of the information you will learn, you will earn back the price of the book in a very short time.

If you have been confused or intimidated by adwords in the past you definitely need to read adwords miracle. How to Make a Substantial Income from Affiliate Programs

By: Mal Keenan

We've all heard the fairytale stories about people who have struck it rich by doing nothing more than setting up web sites. It sounds too good to be true, but the fact is it is more than possible to make money online without ever having to sell a product personally.

If this sounds too good to be true, don't worry, it's not! Thousands of people are making money 24 hours a day as people around the globe visit their web sites and take part in checking out affiliate web sites and their products.

The fact of the matter is, as the Internet grows in popularity and use at an exponential rate, affiliate marketing programs are enabling savvy web site owners to cash in on some very large incomes. Learning how to make money with affiliate programs isn't even all that difficult, but it will take some dedication to be truly successful.

These programs pay out either by how many times their ads are viewed or how many times people click through on them. Sometimes, affiliate sites will only offer payment if a referral results in a sale.

If you join an affiliate network they tend to offer different options to make sales more so than if you join an individual affiliate program. Your options are open.

There are two main ways to get an affiliate web site up and running. The first is to convert an existing web site into one that accepts affiliate advertising. The other is to create web sites specifically to cater to topics that go along with an affiliate advertiser's niche.

Let's look at both:

Existing web site. Do you have an existing web site you enjoy working on, updating and keeping fresh and interesting? Do you get at least a modest amount of traffic each day? Week? Month? If so, it's possible you can find an affiliate marketing program to help you turn that site into a money maker.

If you intend to do this with your existing web site and you already have a lot of content up and traffic coming in, it's best to seek out an online affiliate program that matches the site's focus. The options out there are pretty numerous, so finding an affiliate web site program or several that fit your site's niche shouldn't be too difficult. If your site is dedicated to parenting, look for affiliate programs that involve children, toys or educational opportunities. If you like to write about computer games, for example, go that route.

The key in making an affiliate business work with an existing web site is to find those programs that compliment the site rather than detract from it.

New build. Many people who endeavor to make money through the online world seek out web affiliate program opportunities first and then build sites to fit. This means choosing a niche affiliate marketing program or several of them and then building a site and loading it full of relevant content. The idea here is to tailor content around the affiliate program's topic. Content – articles, pictures and posts – is the key to drawing in traffic.

Building a site from the ground up and then ensuring traffic will be present will take some time. The key here is to create content that keeps the site fresh and interesting that also happens to entice visitors to pay affiliate business sites a visit after viewing yours. The hitch here, however, is that content on the affiliate site generally cannot direct sell the affiliate marketing ads. It's not that it CANNOT sell directly - It is more profitable to give the web visitor the information they require and then subtley direct them to one of your affiliate product sites for more information. This is how you make your money, when they buy a service or product from the afore-metioned site.

Going the new build route will take a little time, but it can pay off in an affiliate marketing site that makes a whole lot of money for its owners. As long as the information is good, the content is interesting and the site is kept fresh, it is very likely traffic will come.

It might seem like a pipedream, but the reality is virtually anyone can make money on the Internet by getting involved in affiliate marketing.

What You Can Do To Generate Website Traffic

By: Kenji Sakamoto

Website traffic is the most crucial part to having an online business. Sure you have to have a product with public appeal and quality content to promote your product. But without traffic, you will have no business. It may take time, but there are some things you can do to generate website traffic for yourself.

The more back links you have to your website, the more people have a chance to getting to your website. A back link is essentially another website that has your link on it. If you have 50 back links, there are 50 places people can find your website link and get to your website. That is why it is vital that you try to get as many back links as possible.

One way to get a back link is to write testimonials for any business that you have gone through that already has a high page rank. If the business has a high page rank, that means they are reeling in a lot of traffic each day. Not everyone looks at the testimonial page, but there are many who want to see what that business is all about. And that is where your link becomes relevant.

Another way to generate website traffic is to write articles. If you can write clear and precise articles that offer something fresh, it can be a great way to show your knowledge on your topic. Then, write out a resource box and begin submitting your article all over. Each article directory that publishes one of your articles acts as a back link, so submit to as many directories and sites that you can.

One of the more popular ways to generate traffic is traffic exchange. Traffic exchange is a type of website that provides a service for webmasters in exchange for traffic. As you submit your website, you then have to browse other member’s sites in exchange for credit. The way you benefit from this is that other members will view your site, and may become enthralled by it and purchase something.

The last way you can generate more website traffic is by posting in forums. The more forums you post in, the more variety you can bring to your website. It is equally important that you post several times in each forum so that people become familiar with you. If you make a post every day in several different forums, people will eventually come to your website to see what you are all about.

Without website traffic, you have a great website with no business. That is why it is essential that you take into consideration the tips listed above to begin generating traffic. It is crucial that you are patient, but by doing a little of everything, you will reel in loads of traffic.

How to Effectively Promote Your Home Business On Internet

By: Himanshu Joshi

When you are just starting out with your home business, making it grow can be quite a challenge. You need to have money in order for you to install equipments and software to help you with your tasks. If you do not have these, then you might just as well give up, since you need something to make communication with the customers easy.

On the other hand, you also need marketing strategies to make your business known among the people. If you do not promote your business well, nobody will know that you are trying to sell them items or services. If you are running on a tight budget, you may need to scrimp on equipments and marketing ideas. When this happens, you might not be able to make your home business grow.

If you want to make your business expand, you have to remember that you need effective marketing plans. With successful and strategic promotion ideas, you will be able to direct several customers to your business. If you want to lead the competition, then the best place for you to market your home business is over the Internet.

There are a lot of home business Internet marketing strategies which you can use. Some of these require fees, while there are also some which require low or no costs at all. To get you started, you need to set up a website for your home business. If you are not an expert with website designing, then seek the assistance of a professional website designer. It would be better if you spend on a service which you are sure of, rather than develop a website even if you know little about it.

When you finally have your own site, submit its URL to different search engines. Once you are listed within the directories, possible viewers might be directed to your site, depending on its effectiveness. Most sites which receive a lot of audience are those which rank within the first page of search engine results.

If you want to rank high in page results, then you have to develop effective search engine optimization ideas. You can use keywords which are related to the content of your site, or to the services or items which you are offering. You can also develop a presentable design for your website content. Use graphic designs, although not too much to make downloading easy. The texts should be bold to catch the eyes of the viewers. The colors should be pleasing and warm. Avoid bright colors; no one would want to stick to a site which uses colors that hurt the eyes. Another effective SEO technique would be link building. If you want to build links with other online sites, then opt for those which has the same content topics with your site.

Other home business Internet marketing techniques include banner exchanges, wherein you can display your site's banner at other online sites. You can also use newsletters, discussion groups and search engine tools. A variety of these are offered for free or at specific values. It is up to you if you want to spend much or not. You only have to remember that sticking to one home business Internet marketing plan is not effective enough. You have to use it along with other methods.

Keep Your Visitors Smiling, Even on Error Pages

By: Andrew Grant

A web guru friend of mine recently surprised me with some valuable information I've been missing for years.

We were discussing the subject of error pages and he revealed something that was completely new to me. "Of course you can customize your error pages".

I was amazed. He nearly fell off his chair laughing at me when I said that I always thought those 404 error pages came from some central internet point beyond my reach and that they all looked exactly the same.

When he had calmed down a little, he patiently explained that an there are scores of error codes covering many different situations. They are all three digits, such as 500 – Server Error, 408 – Request Timeout and of course the familiar 404 – Not found, which most of us see fairly regularly.

He went on to say that 404 errors are sometimes caused by users incorrectly typing in a page name, but quite often it can be just a communication glitch between one end and the other and if you hit refresh, you'll usually get right back on track.

Despite what I thought, the content of error pages does not come from some omnipotent global hub, some kind of web-central, but are in fact pages held on the server of your web host. If an error condition is flagged up the server simply dips into the directory and throws up a standard error page.

Now that means that you can replace their standard error pages with something of your own and simply tell the host to serve that instead. And that started me thinking very hard.

How would it be if I was able to take the chance to make my visitors smile instead of groan and assist them in a friendly way to get back to where they were going. My friend explained that we simply needed to create two files and upload them to my site.

The first one is the replacement error page itself. I decided we should give it the same look and feel as the rest of my site, so we added the banner at the top and some of the navigation links. Then I entered a cheery message saying "Oops, sorry – something's gone wrong. It happens sometimes, but don't worry, it's not serious. Click here and we'll have you back on track in no time" Then at the bottom is a simple link to take people back to my homepage.

On a large site with multiple pages, it might be more user friendly if they can then link straight to your sitemap and figure out what they want from there.

The second file is one called .htaccess. This is a little text file, which contains a few lines of code telling your web-host which errors to pick up and which page to show in which event. Simple. Well simple for my friend anyway, but he assures me that anyone halfway competent can do it. In fact he says that your web-host will probably have full instructions on their help pages.

So what's the point of doing this? One of the key reasons is the impatience of the average user; we are all impulsive button pushers and if it stops we get easily irritated. The last thing you want to do, is have this drive your prospects away, so take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen the tenuous relationship, just before it is broken off.

Secondly, as any good web marketer knows, any chance that you have to make a positive impression is worth grabbing. Your error page is another opportunity to show your personality to your site visitors, so choose a friendly tone and it will be appreciated.

So take a closer look at your error pages and learn to make them lovable.

Rich Schefren, Jay Abraham, Mike Filsaime, Jeff Walker Reveal Million Dollar Strategies

By: Dave Mallegg

Rich Schefren, Jay Abraham, Mike Filsaime, Jeff Walker, Millionaire Entrepreneurs are in the internet trenches, innovating successful strategies never before used on the internet, then passing them on to their group of savvy entrepreneurs to explode their businesses.

These marketing gurus repeatedly create new original strategies for themselves as well as effectively transplant them on to others.

There are numerous common strategies all successful people on the internet now use to give them tremendous advantages over their competitors. Let's face it, we are all experiencing the increasing competition to dominate our niches.

Some of the common core steps are listed below:

1) Start to process map your online business. 2) Learn project management. 3) Build leverage and scalability into your business. 4) Become fanatical about the numbers of your business. 5) Use an effective time management system. 6) Analyze your log and identify your routine tasks. 7) Automate as many things as possible starting with the easiest to automate. 8) Outsource 1 item at a time starting with the most time consuming first. 9) Hire an employee that will take over the largest number of your responsibilities.

Each of the above activities involves a series of unique details that are carefully crafted to guarantee success. It is not about doing them, but rather doing them correctly.

You want to begin by separating your activities and tasks into productive time and non-productive time.

Productive time is spent creating products, marketing products, improving your marketing process, managing money making projects, setting up joint venture deals and creating leverage in your business. Non-productive time is everything else, including answering emails, phones, day to day tasks running the business, etc.

If you realistically have two productive hours five days a week (520 hours a year) to make $ 260,000 a year, then you need to produce $ 500 an hour of productive time.

The bottom line is exactly how do you leverage your internet business to increase your productive hourly income each day?

There are basically two ways work should be done in the business:

SYSTEMS AND PROJECTS

A project is a temporary goal with a beginning and an end performed by people and constrained by resources. You need to learn project management techniques. A Project ultimately should begin and end without you and they make money without you.

Do what you do best and outsource the rest.

What are you good at? What are your core competencies?

A lack of project management skills can cause outsourcing challenges.

Hire niche researchers to find products, keywords, volume, affiliate programs.

Hire ghostwriters to write eBooks, sales-letters, the name capture, the tip email series and the forced consumption emails, articles, affiliate emails, affiliate eBook review, the banner copy and everything else.
\
\At the top of the pyramid is Strategic, then Management and at the base is Tactical Business Metrics.

Look at the numbers of your business to find opportunities to expand. Process, out sourcing, study product roll out

The Business Builder builds scale (leverage-efficiency) The Coordinator (manager-out sourcing) and Technician (you do not want to be in that role)

You get rid of the technician by hiring free-lancers from Elance.com; Scriptlance.com; Rentacoder.com. Also Technician Universe can be used to find– Copywriters, Web Designers, Technical Projects, Ghost Writers, Virtual Assistants, Program Developer.

Look for people to establish a long time repeat relationship. Then get rid of the person who manages. Hire two people, one outsources Copywriters, Ghost Writers, Virtual Assistants, Graphic Designers and the other person outsources Web Designers, Technical Projects, Virtual Assistants, and Project Developer.

You can see just from this brief glimpse how much rich valuable material is available to the self-employed entrepreneur ambitious enough to dare to evolve into a millionaire internet business.

How to overcome "Information Overload"

By: Brian Worley

Cast your mind back, before you first decided throw your hat in the ring to create an income with Internet Marketing. Like most of us, all you started with was an open Page on your desk top monitor, an empty email Inbox, and a strong desire to make money on the Internet

Using the age-old “Trial and Error” system, perhaps you began to discover a whole menu of ‘self help’ – ‘how’ to” e-zines and ‘must have reports’. For most, they simply contained similar information on Internet Marketing served up as a different dish, but to be fair many did warn you of the dreaded “Information Overload”, with lurid stories of empty bank balances , maxed out credit cards, and minds full of irrelevant information, and ending up no nearer to their goal than when they first started. Maybe you thought to yourself…”How can these chumps fall into such a state…and end up with no success?”,

Fast forward, - Your email inbox is overflowing with the latest Guru promotions, that you must download immediately or you will crash and burn!!. With one hand they offer Freebies and Gifts of all sizes while the other hand tries to open your wallet. As you struggle to resist and pry their fingers away, you discover there are three other sets already in there!!!

Just as you vow never to download another product, another tasty titbit arrives and takes you on another fantasy journey of wealth and success. You discover that you are downloading projects and information on Internet Marketing techniques that you already bought months ago, and didn’t have the time to read

You are now struggling to pay of your plastic, while juggling your monthly outgoings. Your mind feels as soft as a marshmallow, full with so many strategies and formulas that you just can’t seem to format any of them. And your still chasing that one ‘Secret’ that’s going to make the big break through to your Internet Marketing Success. If you recognise that profile?… Welcome to “Information Overload

Some clever or lucky people will never have undergo this part of the education curve, but for us mere mortals, it seem we have to suffer before we are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel Maybe you have reached the stage where you have to say STOP I want to get off!!!

This is what you have to do. Focus on exactly what you want and ignore what you don’t want. Forget the million dollar programs that promise Free Money with no impute. That’s dreamtime. Concentrate on Reality! Choose one program or product, and then decide how you are going to market it.

You may already have this knowledge, stored away in the numerous reports and ezines gathering cyber dust on your system, but here’s a quick synopsis of what is needed.

Take Paper and a Magnifying glass. If you hold the glass in the same place between the paper and the sun soon you will have a raging fire. But a moving class will not even make a scorch mark!

Open a Folder on your desk-top called “Working Folder” and place in it only the product and marketing tools that you are currently using. Keep it un-clutted and only add other tools as and when required Focus on your chosen advertising method, until you're "comfortable" with it - and have sufficient experience with it. Only then should you consider moving on to the next technique (trying to "master" and apply too many techniques at once will only lead to more frustration!).

You may find that one or two advertising methods are enough to supply you with all the traffic your business needs - if not, you can continue mastering and applying the techniques of your choice one-by-one until you've reached your desired level of traffic and income.

The Internet is simply a World Wide Market place. You have to get your information out there and show them the way to your store. You need to focus on Quick Cash and Long Term Wealth Strategy

This is not the place to go into details on all the Internet Marketing strategies that are available to you. There’s nothing new in the above recommendations and I’m sure you have a kaleidoscope of information on each subject. Go look for it, or else use the net to acquire this information.

Or else check the July edition the wealthbuilder-Bulletinboad, or among the back issues. I’m sure you will find some essential Internet Marketing Tools there to help you

The point I am making is forget all the distractions and focus on one product and the means to promote it to billions of potential customers on the World Wide Web, and I promise you, like the “Paper and Glass” theory….you will succeed

How to Drive Mega-Targeted Traffic Using Overture

By: Cody Goodman

In internet marketing businesses such as affiliate marketing, no traffic means no customers. That’s the underlying basis why most affiliates or webmasters easily almost shell out thousands of dollars just to get top rankings on the search engines. Once you are sponsoring a product or service in you web page, you need to have more visitors that can be likely consumers to your products and services. This is one of the essential rules to succeed in online marketing business. Here, you just need to start and get it right and you can do some things wrong but still manage to thrive. Don’t ever try to mistake it because no matter how hard you work, you can never find yourself on the way to accomplishment.

I guess everyone will see eye to eye if I mentioned that building enough highly targeted traffic is the key to success in affiliate marketing business. This tactic is verified to be helpful if you’re sponsoring or reselling products or services online. One of the most reliable and most secured marketing techniques that affiliate marketers can exercise is the practices of paying for performance. This means that your money used only on results such as additional sales and incomes.

Here's a real life example... Paying for performance could mean granting a commission to an partner only when new sale is finished. This practice assures you real revenue because you can already total the amount money you have to spend for every new sale made. Also, you can avoid spending any marketing bucks because every cent you spend has either come from sale or will generate a sale in the future.

And one of the verified and most proficient ways of acquiring sales in affiliate marketing business is by drawing Ultra-targeted traffic towards your web site and converting them to sales by means of “Pay-Per-Click”.

Overture claims to be the Internet’s best pay-per-click search engine. It is the world’s leading resource of Pay-For-Performance search on the web. And what’s more enticing about Overture? When you advertise in Overture, your site will appear in the leading U.S. search engines like Yahoo, MSN, Netscape, AltaVista and more.

Pay per click search engines resembling Overture can get impressive sales because they let you to pay for performance by inviting precisely targeted traffic to your market. This means leads who are searching for what you are selling. Overture’s secret is to drive laser-targeted traffic to your website bidding on keywords that are highly related to the product or services that you are selling. The practice works this way: the more exact the keyword is, the better results you’ll receive and the less you’ll need to spend for each new sale.

Overture brings targeted traffic by keeping you away from the general keywords that are very common and expensive by casting a wide net of mega-focused keywords that are more targeted, not so expensive, and with higher conversion rate.

Overture’s strategy also enables your visitors to respond. And what’s important once you get your visitors to take action? Well, you are given a chance to develop lifetime customers that will love your product and will buy from you over an over again. Bear in mind that one-time sales can’t be a key in creating a highly-profitable business especially online. You can only achieve this through PPCSEs like Overture, which gets your site visitors to respond. And once it happens, you can constantly market and sell your products to them.

Another tactic that Overture implements in order to gain laser-targeted traffic is to have a “Back-Up Response” for those who “almost bought” your product on the first visit. To successfully do this, you need to market and advertise to them over and over again until you make them a new customer. Offer them an incentive so that they’ll allow you to advertise to them over a certain time span by means of e-mail or post mail.

Now as you can see overture is a good way to gain laser targeted, very cheap traffic... but there is an even better way called search engine optimization.. you can obtain a FREE detailed email course on Search Engine Optimization at:

Common Misconception with Video in Ecommerce

By: Terry Detty

The most common misconception people have for internet audio and video applications are with their usage. More often, video with audio, or one of these alone, are viewed as materials for entertainment or leisure in the internet. This misconception is beginning to fade fast.

The most obvious reason is the way audio and video are used as teasers to wet the appetites of prospective customers. The best examples of all websites that use this method are the shopping websites. These websites that sell hot selling products will design their web pages in such a way that highlights of a whole movie are embedded within the web page. In this manner, they hope to persuade the browsing public, who view the partial material, to purchase the product. In simpler terms, a viewable movie trailer is added to the site.

For commercial vendor websites that primarily sell movies and music, video and audio utilities are an integral part of their marketing strategy. They understand that most people want to see and/or hear what they are buying. They know that using video and audio to show their merchandise to customers wins half the battle for them to get the customers to buy.

For websites that are focused on selling published materials like books and audio books, a few narrated passages or several sample chapters of the material encoded in audio files is a good way to encourage a customer to buy their product. Furthermore, testimonials of previous customers have a better chance of being noticed than those that are just encoded in text. Most people usually go to a website for a specific reason. For example, one person wants to buy an independent video but he/she does not know which independent video vendor website to go to. This person will use a search engine to find what he/she needs. Once found, that person will go directly to the part of the website where the video he/she is looking for exists.

In cases like these, the home or welcome page is bypassed where, most likely, all of the testimonials are situated. With audio and/or video applications installed in the web site, the testimonials can be streamed to the customer automatically to whichever part of the website he/she is in. Of course, using audio/video streaming now to project your testimonials is a bit extreme at the moment. However, future technology will make audio/video streaming a material of lesser bulk in terms of data transfer. There will come a time when the whole internet can be browsed by vocal commands.

To get back to the subject at hand, the ability of being able to project your merchandise, testimonials, and other points you want your customers to be aware of, by using audio/video technology is limitless and powerful. A single video clip lasting around 10 seconds is no longer considered a huge burden as far as electronic data storage is concerned.

What can you, as an entrepreneur, place into a 10 seconds long video so that you can gain your customers’ trust or make them aware of your other merchandise? Now, 10 seconds is a relatively short time, but it is plenty enough time for people to convey several points of view. If a 10 second video is worth more that a lot of text writings, what more a video that is 20 or 30 seconds long?

Internet audio and video streaming technology is getting more and more sophisticated. All you have to do is look around you and you will see people watching videos and listening to music with their I-pods, MP3 and MP4 players. Incidentally, the best sources for their audio and video needs can be found on the internet. So, imagine all the audio/video data streaming, downloading and uploading around in the internet, and you will have a good idea of just how measly a 10 second video is in terms of today’s technology.

As I said, the use of audio/video streaming on the internet is a powerful marketing tool. However, the technology for it has matured enough in that audio and video files use more space from storage devices such as hard drives and I-pods. Already, hard drives of computers have transcended the megabyte barrier and are now storing gigabytes of data (one gigabyte = 1,000 megabytes).

One of the basic important features on MySpace is a tool named ‘Friend Adder'. This is a very easy tool which will allow you to add your friends. Also some third party developers have added friend adder tools which should help you to accelerate your process of adding friends.

If you are a member of a music band group and you just want to add friends to your one profile only which like your music, then you must make use of a Bot that has this feature of friend adder. But if you are in marketing and suppose you have ten profiles on MySpace with 1,000 friends each then do you recognize how simple it will be to send message to all those 10,000 friends as compared to sending out newsletters to 10,000? It would be a lot easier if you can find something that was all in one tool, rather than buy one Bot for each different tool.

MySpace also allows you to have each member their own blog, and now with the introduction of Web 2.0, blogs have become one of the quickest growing trends. I have used Drupal, Blogger from Google and also Wordpress to create blogs. But to stay with newest trends you have to find MySpace Bot which has ‘blog post' utility.

Suppose that if you hold a membership of your local dance group in your area & each group member has their own MySpace profile with many friends. You were going to hold an event of your dance group and you wanted to invite each friend on MySpace. If you had this MySpace Bot that has function of account chaining then you can save a lot of your time.

If you need to use MySpace for your business marketing then you must create a profile to capture your visitor's attention. Now if you create a profile of a young girl sitting beside a pool, you can get a lot of attention than your own profile which is of a 41 year Man. An also to draw notice a good picture is worth more than a thousand words. One of the Bots out there has an account creation feature.

Preferably, MySpace does not like marketers now. They have implemented this rule that if they find many MySpace accounts which are posting similar messages then they will remove and cancel those accounts. So, smart third party software developers have message randomizer in their accounts. This way you can be confident that each of your MySpace profile will post different messages. A message randomizer utility is necessary to solve this MySpace problem.

3 Ways to Turn a Profit Online

By: Danny Austin

1. Sell your own products. The main advantage to selling your own products is that you ultimately control how much profit you make on every sale and you therefore have the potential for the biggest profit margin. You know exactly what each product costs, and you can try out different price points to see what works the best. People appreciate good value, and removing the middleman is a great way to provide your customers with competitive prices that keep them coming back for more.

2. Sell your own services. Whether you're a small-town dentist, a high-priced online legal consultant, a real estate agent, a tutor, a landscaper, a bed and breakfast owner, an auto-mechanic, a caterer, a fitness trainer or anything in between, you can profit from selling your service online. It's easy to get started selling a service online, but your revenue potential, in most cases, is limited. That's because, unlike someone selling a physical product that can be stored and shipped on demand, you can only provide as many services as your time allows.

When you sell a service, you're essentially selling a relationship with yourself. And this requires that you spend more time and effort establishing your credibility and developing rapport with your visitors than is typically required on a site selling a physical product. You not only need to establish the benefits of the service you're offering, you also need to establish the value of you providing this service.

3. Drop ship products. If you want to sell products without the hassles of tracking your inventory, setting up warehouse space and maintaining a confusing shipping/receiving infrastructure, drop-shipping may be the choice for you. Drop shipping lets you sell quality, brand-name products on your site for a hefty profit, while the drop shipper takes care of fulfilling the order. They warehouse the stock, pack the orders and ship them out to your customers.

The Perfect Internet Product

By: Chris Haycock

Well, this is something we are all looking for aren't we? OK, I suppose we need to know just what attributes the perfect product would have. I reckon they can be summed up as follows:

1) It should be precisely what the the customer wants, and is actively looking for.

2) It should be unique to you. That is that it cannot be purchased from anyone or anywhere else. This does not mean that it has to be a totally original product, as we all know there is very little left that is actually unique. It just should not be available in the exact format/style that you are offering.

3) The perceived value of the product should be a lot higher than the actual production cost. For example a manual or a course can have a mark up of anything between 500% and 1000%, even more in some cases. This way we make a nice profit. What are we in business for?

4) The product should be a quality product, and should look and feel it. Thus ensuring that your customer is happy, and confident of it's value. A quality product also has the additional benefit of reducing refunds. We don't want too many of those.

5) It should be easily deliverable, that is, not requiring special delivery, and not easily breakable or damaged in the post. Of course, downloadable products avoid all these pitfalls.

This brings us to products that should be avoided. I'm sure I don't need to say it but please stay away from anything that could be regarded as illegal or unethical. If you are selling items that you have not personally created or produced for example, you have to acquire the resale rights. These do not have to be expensive, but you are in for a heap of trouble if you don't have them. Also you should stay away from anything that could be considered in bad taste, there's loads of excellent stuff out there without straying into those realms, and you really don't want to be tarred with that brush. The comeback you are likely to get is just not worth it. Business can be tough enough without that sort of hassle. As mentioned before, avoid poor quality products. Customers can, and do, demand refunds, and your refund rate will be much higher with a rubbish product. Don't cheat people, refunds are time consuming and costly, and it will make it difficult, if not impossible for you to sell your expensive back end product at a later date. Fragile, bulky, and difficult to pack items should be stayed away from. Broken and damaged goods will also generate complaints. Heavy items will be expensive to post/deliver. Your product should be as inexpensive as possible to deliver.

A successful product is probably not going to be unique. There aren't many of those left. However, your product can stand out from the crowd as having better presentation, higher quality, and better value. It should stress the benefits to your customer. Benefits count, not features. They should be obvious to your customer, over and above anything similar offered by your competitors.

When you weigh it all up, what do you think is the perfect Internet product? Pretty obvious when you look at it isn't it? I'm sure you all know the answer. Of course. It's Information Products! They satisfy all the above criteria, and they are easily sourced or created. I'll show you how in future articles.

Facilitate e-transaction with Internet Merchant Accounts

By: Bob Donegan

Anybody familiar with electronic transaction or e-commerce over the internet like purchasing products by paying through credit cards will be familiar with the term Internet Merchant Account.

It is mandatory for every organization to have an Internet Merchant Account to accept payment online. Various companies, MNCs, offer the required software to run and maintain such accounts.

Every organization should have a checking account with any bank in the US to maintain an Internet Merchant Account. If the organization has not obtained a checking account, there are institutions that will help in obtaining an account from the bank. Some local banks do not offer Internet Merchant Account service.

Many banks offer the entire product, Internet Merchant Account, right from receiving the payment online to crediting it to the organization's official account. The Internet Merchant Account is also useful to individuals engaged in web-based business activities.

The Internet Merchant Account is the second of the three layers that exist between a customer and the organization. The first and last layers are the payment gateway and the website respectively.

The Payment Gateway completes the initial process like screening the credit card, registering its details, the product ordered, accepting the customer billing information and the necessary validation. This Payment Gateway subsequently transfers all these details to the Merchant Bank Account along with the payment downloaded in an electronic format from the credit card.

To enable this transaction, the website selling the product or engaged in web-based business, should be integrated with the Payment Gateway and the Merchant Bank Account. Without integration, an electronic transaction is not possible.

The Internet Merchant Accounts come at a cost. Usually, there are three price ranges for upfront application fee, ongoing fixed rate, discount rate, fixed transaction fee, termination fee and miscellaneous fee. The range depends on the volume of the business the organization or the website can generate. To begin with, start from a low volume generating business as the prescribed fee is lower. There is scope for scaling up the business and changing the range of the account.

Don’t be stupid, you can’t sell consulting over the web!

By: Tony Rice

In the consulting industry, if there's one thing that causes people to ignore online marketing, it's the belief that you can't sell professional services over the web. This is both true and false, so read on if you want to look at this from an entirely different perspective and change your approach to sales pipeline building.

Of course it's true that people won't get their credit cards out to buy high priced intangible products that normally have long sales gestation periods and require expert conversations before a deal takes place. However don't let this fool you into ignoring the stages of the sales and marketing process where the web can make massive contributions, it can shrink sales cycles and automate lead generation by taking people out of the process. What it can do for you is bring more prospects to the table, win their trust and get them deeper into your sales funnel without expensive people ever having met them!

Once you've moved to this way of thinking, you'll have prospects knocking on your door rather than you on theirs, your sales pipeline will be a lot healthier, your expensive people will be better utilized and your cost of client acquisition will be much lower than it is today.

If you are going to move to this mindset you need to work on three key things:

1. Talk in the ‘needs' language of your target audience.

2. Provide useful information that educates them and earns their trust.

3. Make your website the hub for all marketing campaigns.

Here's how:

1. Talk in the ‘needs' language of your target audience.

The buying language of consulting consumers is often very different to the selling language used by consultants on their websites. This results in a misalignment between the buyer and the seller. We all know that consultants like to talk about themselves more than they do about their clients! When your clients go online to do their research, you want to be the one that sings their song and presses their buttons. So if you do your homework and identify with their needs, wants and issues, rather than your products, services and company, then you'll be the one to grab their attention and bring them one step closer.

2. Provide useful information that educates them and earns their trust.

Most of the time consumers of professional services do a lot of online research to develop their issue or thinking before they decide on their provider. Would you like to help them do their research? You bet! People will lean in your direction if you help them out with valuable information that moves their issue ahead. Consulting is a relationship business, so when they're ready to buy, you'll be right up there in their mind as someone they trust to provide the expertise they need. So if you make it easy for them by providing valuable and useful information in the form of white papers, advisory articles, presentations, research reports, podcasts etc. then you'll be the one they trust and they won't be reserved in picking up the phone to you.

3. Make your website the hub for all marketing campaigns.

Most consulting firms who have a marketing plan treat their website like a separate strand of activity, along with direct mail, telemarketing, event speaking, sponsorship, advertising etc. Most marketers also struggle with measuring the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns. If you make your website the central hub for all marketing activities, then you can measure the return on investment from all of your campaigns. Make sure you've got a good visitor tracking tool installed (e.g. Opentracker), build special landing pages for each campaign, automate the delivery of your information products and capture contact information for use in on-going marketing communications. If you do these things you'll be well on your way to ‘lights out lead generation'!

So is it stupid to think you can sell professional services and consulting over the web?

Well it's doable for advisory products at a sub $1000 price point, but generally speaking you cannot close a complex deal online. But you can use the web to get your first meeting with a prospect, and if you use this as your main objective then you'll soon be pushing leads into your sales pipeline with much less effort and cost.

How to Develop a Thriving Business on the Internet

By: Andy Bowdoin
\
Most people spend time and money advertising on the Internet without having good results. They do not know where the hot locations are to advertise and they do not know how to write an ad that creates instant interest and action. They also do not know the key secrets to successful advertising on the Internet.

My experience in marketing has been, (listed in the reasons listed above), that the multitude of individuals that have a true desire to start or grow their business will suffer if these items are not addressed.

Imagine this…Would you like to go from being a person who is struggling to build a home-based business on the Internet, to achieving financial freedom in a few months?

If you haven't been successful at advertising on the Internet, or find the task of embarking on an Internet advertising campaign overwhelming, don't be discouraged. There is a solution.

In this article I will explain how to attract endless new distributors or customers to your business.

Most people don't realize that you can have the best product, company and compensation plan in the world, but it's all completely worthless unless you have an exciting, effective advertising and marketing program that will bring people to you on a silver platter.

The first two questions you must answer are, "Who is your target market?" and, "What locations do they frequent on the Internet?"

Once you can answer these two questions correctly, the next step toward attracting traffic to your website is to write an ad that will capture instant attention and create an enormous amount of interest from your target market. The ability of your ad to do this is one of the key ingredients in attracting the necessary traffic.

The second most important step is to place your ad in locations on the Internet where your target market frequently visits. This takes a tremendous amount of research. Don't worry-- if you're already feeling overwhelmed, remember that there is a solution! After you have determined the locations where your target market visits, you must learn how to place your ads on those locations and do it repeatedly. This takes time that you should be using to communicate with your prospects and help your down line.

After you have secured the interest of your prospects through advertising, the next step is to send them to a capture page or power ad, not your website. A capture page or power ad should be very professional and create further interest in the opportunity, product or service that you have advertised. A professional capture page or power ad is free of clutter and creates interest in only one thing. A key element for a successful capture page or power ad is to give away something free (e.g., an e-book-- something pertaining to what you are marketing) and thus "capture" the first name and email address of your prospects. We have had the most success with generic capture pages or power ads.

Sometimes it takes 7 contacts with a prospect before they take action.

Therefore, having an auto-responder with a series of 7 emails ready to send to your prospects over a ten-day period is essential-- all designed to get your prospects to your website. Each email should outline a definite plan of action for the prospect and why they should take that action. If you are not experienced in this area, you would benefit by having someone with Internet marketing experience write the email series for you, to insure your success.

When you conduct an email campaign using leads, you should send them to a landing page or power ad, not a capture page, because you already have their name and email address. You should still offer something FREE, however, to attract your leads toward that landing page or power ad. The landing page or power ad should be similar to the capture page, except the capture page will also be asking for ( i.e., capturing) the prospect's name and email address through the free offer. After your leads visit your landing page or power ad, you can then send them directly to your website.

If your prospect visits your website but does not purchase or get involved, keep them on your mailing list (unless they opt-out) because their circumstances may change. In three or four months they may get involved or purchase your product or service, as a result of your continued communications.

A good way to stay in touch with your target audience is through a monthly newsletter. You can develop one yourself or use a generic newsletter.

You can accomplish everything we have described in this article yourself, but it will require specific, quality skills to be successful. You'll need marketing-writing skills to create successful ads and email letters, graphic and marketing-writing skills for developing your capture and landing pages, market-research skills to find out the best places to put your ads, an auto-responder to automatically send out your emails, and the knowledge of how to operate your auto-responder. These tasks also take a lot of time and effort.

It will also take a lot of patience and attention to continually experiment with different strategies, until you develop a marketing plan that will attract massive amounts of traffic to your website.

There is an easy solution, however. You can instantly have an entire experienced advertising team on your staff when you partner with AdSurfDaily, Inc. ASD's Attract Marketing System incorporates all of the above features and is guaranteed to drive an endless stream of new distributors and buyers to your site!
